The Historic Bandshell offers Amazing Concerts

The historic Bandshell in Daytona Beach was completed in 1938, built out of coquina rock and capable of seating up to 4000 people.  The Bandshell still offers an open air concert series every summer starting on Memorial day through Labor day.  ALL FREE!!!  The Bandshell is also used for speakers and other public forums.  It was recently used by the republican presidential candidate to speak to central Florida residents.  It’s also a great place to gather and watch the fireworks from the Main Street Pier on every Saturday in the summer.  The Bandshell is mostly a great place to go to if people watching is your sport.

Make a Day of It

The Bandshell is on the beach and withing walking distance to the Daytona Beach boardwalk and the Main Street Pier, is connected to the the Oceanwalk Shoppes.  Great way to make a day of it is to just park at the beach and walk to everything!  (It’s so awesome that we can still drive on the beach!)

Did Someone Say Chicken Dance?

The Daytona Beach Bandshell has several events during the year including Oktoberfest which provides authentic German beer and foods.  Yum.  And yes, it’s true, I did the chicken dance…. in public……twice.  Don’t tell. (But I had a great time!)

See you at the Beach!
