Happy Halloween

How much fun would it be to visit a reportedly haunted cemetery with graves dating back to the 1800’s on Halloween?  Well that’s just what we did.  Okay so the weather was beautiful and it’s not spooky in the daytime, but it’s a great piece of Daytona Beach history and the tombs and grave markers are something to see.  Amazing how many Mason symbols!

I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts!

So the story goes that Adler Rawlings roams around looking for the head that was detached from his skeleton when a bunch of not so charming kids were using his tomb as a clubhouse and decided to play soccer with his bones….. His head was never recovered……               Does the widow Bergone, who died in 1944, dressed all in black, still weep by the grave of her long past husband who waits for her?….You be the judge.

Spirits You Say?

If these kinds of spirits are not your thing, then head over to Boot Hill Saloon for a different kind of spirit, where their motto is “Better Here than across the street.”  But if ghosts are your thing, stick around, who knows, they might like you so much, they’ll want you to join them……..Boo.

See you at the Beach!
