On The Way To Deleon Springs
If your visiting Daytona Beach and happen to venture off to Deleon Springs National Park, make sure to make a stop at Deleon Diner. The owner Paul Derosby created a diner that offers up hometown feel and yummyness with friendly service and great size portions. The food is classic American and you can get a hearty breakfast anytime, and the menu is filled with good old fashioned comfort food, like macaroni and cheese and sweet potato fries.
Always Fresh
The great thing about a hometown diner is that you know that the food is always fresh and homemade. They even hand cut their own fries. We were there for breakfast and the place was packed with locals. It was obvious that the natives love it and come there frequently because the servers already knew their order before passing out menus, called people by name, and even were introduced to new comers. That’s a sure sign of good food.
Homemade Ice Cream
Yup, that’s right. The diner is now serving homemade ice cream, from a local source, complete with all the toppings to go along with it. We’re talking gummy bears, m&m’s, jelly beans, you name it, talk about comfort food. God bless ice cream, what would we do without it! The diner is open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There is seating indoors and covered patio seating outdoors with plenty of parking. Prices range from $4.00 to $10.00 with most items falling into the $7.00 range. Enjoy!
See you at the Beach!
