Upscale Italian Dining

Tucked away on Beach Street snuggled in between shoppes and vacation villa’s is Zappi’szappi's garden Italian Garden Restaurant, Daytona Beach’s newest addition to historic downtown.  The sounds of the street fall away as you step on the brick paved outdoor dining area.  Complete with water feature and manicured gardens, and balconies from the above villa’s, you definitely  get the feeling of being in an Italian piazza.

The Rat Pack

zappi's dining roomIt was a bit chilly, so we decided to eat in the retro-modern dining room and we loved the music, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, andzappi's dipping oil Louis Armstrong, with a Micheal Buble twist.  Very cool, Las Vegasy style.  The high backs on the booths with the vintage like lighting gave us a very private feeling and we could hear each other talk without hearing the sounds of the restaurant.  Nice!

Canadian Italian Pizza

The pizza was delicious!  After asking what style it was, we were told that it’s indeedzappi's pizza Canadian Italian.  The flour is shipped from Canada, and the family has another Italian restaurant in Niagara Falls.  I love a light, crisp crust and this pizza had the best.  But if your not in the mood for great pizza, they have a full menu with all of your Italian favorites,  along with steak and seafood choices.  They also have an extensive wine list and a full bar.

Prices for a basic pizza start at $8.00 and entree’s at $12.50 up to $22.00.  The do have azappi's bar happy hour so call ahead if you want to know the times their “happy”.  Parking is on Beach Street in front of the building, or in the back parking lot and is free.  Enjoy!

See you at the Beach!
