Summer Concert Series at the Daytona Beach Bandshell

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, The Friends of the Bandshell provide a free summer Concert Series at the Daytona Beach Bandshell every Saturday.  The outdoor performing art center is a great back drop for musical artists that range from jazz and big band to rock, blues and country.  With the ocean on one side and The Shoppes at the Oceanwalk on the other, this weekly summer event is a must do for the whole family.  Make sure to bring chairs, but they do have chairs for rent, 2 for $5.00 if you don’t have your own.

On the Boardwalk

While listening to the summer concert series at the Daytona Beach Bandshell, which starts at 7:00 pm on Saturday evenings in the summer, you can also take a stroll on the nearby Daytona Beach Boardwalk.  Drive a go cart, take a ride on the Farris Wheel, watch the street performers, or if your feeling brave, have a ride on what’s called the “Slingshot”, a contraption not for the faint hearted.  Whatever you do, even if people watching is your sport, you’ll have a great time.

Come for the Music, Stay for the Fireworks

After the summer concert series at the Bandshell, Daytona Beach puts on a great firework display every Saturday at 9:45 pm, off the end of the Daytona Beach Pier near the Bandshell.  If your there for the concert, you don’t have to move a muscle to have the best seat in the house for this display.  Enjoy, and thanks to the Friends of the Bandshell for providing great entertainment!

See you at the Beach!
