“Time Flies When Your Having Rum”

Another great place for waterfront dining in Daytona Beach. “Time flies when your having rum was well said by John “Caribbean Jack” Gilbert, famous rum runner of prohibition of the early twentieth century, who lent his name to the Restaurant and Bar. Attached to Loggerhead Club and Marina, Caribbean Jack’s Restaurant and Bar sits between the Main Street and Seabreeze causeways on the Halifax River mainland side and has great views from an enormous outside deck.

Swimming Pool, Live Entertainment, and a Bar? Awesome!

They have a gazebo on the outside deck that houses live entertainment on the weekends and most nights during the summer months.  Along with a great outside bar, there is a swimming pool!  Yup!  How cool is that?  There is also an indoor dining room, complete with rum runner theme,  for bad weather or if you prefer air conditioning.  They also have great banquet rooms with awesome views as well, and a gift shop.  However, I highly recommend the deck, and try to get one of the large covered booths next to the water, their sliders so you can rock back and forth.  Okay, I’m a kid, I think it’s fun.

Great Grouper Reuben

Of course they have a wide selection of seafood on their menu, but the Grouper Reuben is exceptional.  They also have a good selection of creative salads along with chicken and steak selections, with a few vegetarian choices.  The salads and lunch entrees start at $8.00 and  up, and the dinners start at $14.95 and up at the time of this writing, and there’s also a children’s menu.  After a great meal, your invited to stay and dance to live entertainment or enjoy the fire pit with friends.

See you at the Beach!
