Come Get your Irish On!

When we walked into McK’s Tavern we thought that we were listening to piped in music, but when we turned the corner, to our surprise, there was about eight musicians playing Irish music in the back of the restaurant!  We sat ourselves at one of the large booths and immediately started tapping our feet and enjoying the many instruments that were being played.  Flutes, bagpipes, guitars, drums, you name it.  Our server said that the third Saturday of every month, as few as three and as many as eighteen musicians, of all ages, show up to play.  On Thursday they have two guys playing more modern Irish music, and sometimes on Friday.  You have to experience this, even if you’re not Irish!

In Heaven there is no Beer, that’s why we Drink it Here!

Lots of beers on tap and in the bottle, we both had a Sam Adam’s because it was their special that night, there’s also a full bar and some flat screen TVs, so you can keep up with the latest games.

Fish -n- Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Guinness Stew

While all of those are on the menu, I of course had to have the yummy vegi-burger, which was huge.  My burger came with McK’s homemade chips which were delicious and I highly recommend them.  My Hubby had soup and half a sandwich which looked amazing.  My burger and chips cost $6.95 and his dinner was $5.95.  Most of their entrees are around the same price, but all under $15.00US.

Bottle Caps @ McK’s Tavern

Wychcraft, Blithering Idiot and Hobgoblin?!

Just a few of the names of imported and specialty beers you’ll find in McK’s Tavern new beer and wine market called Bottle Caps.  Located adjacent to the restaurant and again the prices are great!  You can make your own six pack of different beers or just buy one at a time.  There’s a discount for getting a six pack!  They also have imported wine and ales.

McK’s Tavern is located on Beach Street, between Orange Avenue and International Speedway Blvd.  While there is limited parking in front of the building, never fear, there is plenty of parking in the back and an additional entrance clearly marked for you convenience.  Children and Leprechauns Welcome!

See you at the Beach!

What a bargain! Live music and good prices and friendly service.
