Great Fresh Fish

Under the Dunlawton Bridge, next to King’s Seafood is DJ’s Deck Seafood & Raw Bar.  Great place to relax and get some excellent fresh fish, enjoy a Florida sunset, and relax with some friends and a cold one.  This is genuinely where the locals have been going for years.

Did I Say Fresh Fish?

We were there recently when the fisherman were bringing in their catch for the day.  Three boats came in with great catches.  It was amazing to see these guys unloading their boats with barrels and barrels of fish.  You know it’s fresh when you see it coming off the boats as your eating!  The sea birds seem to like it too.  Pelicans and seagulls where trying to get a bite.  You might even see a dolphin or two as well.

Great View Too

There is nothing like a Florida Sunset.  I never seem to get tired of them.  While there is indoor dining, I highly recommend you sit outside where there is no bad seating to enjoy this view.  Located on the north side under the bridge beach side, there’s limited parking by King’s Seafood but plenty of parking under the bridge.  Take a walk after lunch or dinner along the fishing pier which is always in use by the locals.  Prices for sandwiches start at $6.99 and go up for baskets that include fries and coleslaw.  Dinner prices are slightly higher but the portions are huge!  And did I mention fresh!  They also have burgers and chicken for those who are not seafood lovers.  Not much on the menu for vegans, or those that need gluten free, but the view is still great!

See you at the Beach!
