Cracker CreekThis is one of our favorite places to take a step back. Just a short trip south from Daytona Beach, Cracker Creek in Port Orange offers a variety of things to do. They have a great pontoon boat and eco tour of Spruce Creek, Jill is the owner and also gives a great narrative on all the plant and animal life on the tour. They also rent kayaks and canoes so you can explore on your own. But remember to take your camera because there is plenty to take photos of.  They also have camping sites available.

Bring your Appetite!

Cracker Creek Café offers breakfast and lunch on the weekends and while in a very camp like rustic setting you’ll feel like your eating gourmet.  Debbie makes a mean blueberry pancake!  In cooler weather they light the campfire by the open pavilion you’ll be under while dining.

Don’t pet the Gators!

While cruising down the creek whether in the pontoon boat, canoe, or on a kayak, you’ll notice lots of wild life including gators.  While they look very cuddly, ugh, they’re not.  So be safe and smart.  But there’s also lots of turtles and birds, raccoon’s, otters, and possums along with absolutely beautiful scenery, you’ll fall in love with.  A great experience for the whole family.  To find out more of what they offer, visit them at www.oldfloridapioneer.com.

See you at the Beach!
