What can you say about a restaurant that floats in Daytona Beach? It’s Awesome! Moored just north of the Dunlawton Bridge, Captain Daddy’s floats on the intercoastal waterway, better known as the Halifax River. It’s a great place to come and relax, enjoy the view and have some great food and drinks. Always a nice breeze blowing top side, pull up a surf board and have a cocktail and some conversation with the friendly staff at the bar.
Below Deck
Too hot for you still? The main deck offers air conditioning and a nice dining room. Enjoy the comfort of a restaurant without leaving the water and the view behind. Captain Daddy’s offers a wide variety menu ranging from Po’Boys, fresh seafood, and The Captain’s favorite, Slow Roasted Prime Rib. The entire menu is moderately priced and there will be something for everyone, including your vegetarian friends.(They have an awesome black bean burger!)
Wanna Drive Your Own Boat?
There’s a dock for you to tie to if your cruising the river. I’m sure that they won’t mind if you stop in for a bite. But if you don’t have your own boat, Captain Daddy’s is now renting pontoon boats, for a very reasonable price I might add. You can rent for a half day or a full day. If your on land, they have a nice parking lot close to the gangplank. Altogther one of our favorite places to “Escape Without Leaving”.
